What is Robotics?

Robotics is a sport like no other. It is a team that builds not only skills that would help one lead a successful high school life but also provides learning opportunities that will lead us into a rich post secondary education. Competitions are run through FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) Robotics, an internationally recognized robotics company. Students get the opportunity of a lifetime as they build, program, and think their way to a successful robot, lasting friendships, and life experience.

Robotics is much like any other sport in the sense of teamwork and competition. Each team has six weeks to build a functioning robot which can perform tasks according to the challenge of that season. Each year, teams form alliances with each other to progress in the matches and win the championship. Teams must work together to wield their robot's skills and achieve a common goal.
