MOREBOTICS
FRC 7623
ABOUT US
FRC team 7623 -- known as Morebotics -- is a budding robotics team based out of St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School, one of the largest high schools in the Hamilton region, with over 2000 students. There are currently 20 core members, each with unique talents and interests, including mechanics, design, marketing, and programming. We value diversity and inclusion, and our members reflect the St. Thomas More’s social, economic and cultural diversity. This team gives students a special opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with professional engineers and to participate in an extra-curricular activity that is focused on the science, technology and engineering fields. Through this experience, students can become creative problem-solvers in a supportive and enthusiastic team environment.
Team Goals
Our main goal is to provide a safe and engaging learning environment where students have a hands-on STEM experience.
As a new robotics team, another of our goals is to encourage girls to pursue STEM-related careers. Approximately 20% of team consists of girls and we hope that this percent will rise in the years to come.
